Parco

Parco is based in Ontario, CA. They are an industry leader in the development of proprietary compounds and bonding techniques and make high performance seals. Founded in 1941, Parco was the first manufacturer to specialize in O-rings, which is still their primary product. Parco's 154,000 square foot facility is one of the largest O-ring plants in the world.

Parco makes custom molded rubber products, including rubber to metal bonded parts, and they import and resell molded rubber seals. Their seals are available in 340 different compounds, more than 25 percent of which were introduced in the last five years. Parco can provide samples of their compounds within 10 working days. If parts are needed faster, then Parco's Rapid Prototype Program is the answer. The program is designed to offer economical, low quantity production of contoured back-up rings, standard and non-standard size O-rings, as well as simple and large custom molded shapes in as few as three working days.

Parco also offers a line of competitively priced import products, which includes:

Biodiesel

Biodiesel is a clean burning alternative fuel that is produced from domestic, renewable resources. It contains no petroleum, but it can be added to petroleum diesel to create a blended fuel. Biodiesel blends can be used in any diesel engines that have little or no modifications. Biodiesel is simple to use, biodegradable, nontoxic, and essentially free of sulfur and aromatics. Biodiesel is better for the environment than 100% petroleum fuels and it is made from natural, renewable resources.

Parco recognized the increased use of Biodiesel in diesel engines so they decided to test some of their own compounds. Parco nitrile (NBR), hydrogenated nitrile (HNBR), and fluorocarbon (FKM) compounds tested well with Biodiesel applications. Fluorocarbon materials are preferred for higher temperature Biodiesel applications while nitrile and hydrogenated nitriles are suitable for lower temperatures.

Parco USP Class VI Compound

Parco has released a new compound that meets USP Class VI for use in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Due to the ever-increasing standards that exist in the pharmaceutical industry, more and more companies are requiring this conformance. Parco's fluorocarbon 9163-70 is a compound that can be used in applications that require very sterile environments. It can be used with milk and edible oils.

9163-70 is internally lubricated with Teflon®. It also has excellent high temperature resistance and is ideal for dynamic applications. 9163-70 can be used in injection molding.
