Parco

Parco is based in Ontario, CA. They make high performance seals and are an industry leader in the development of proprietary compounds and bonding techniques. Founded in 1941, Parco was the first manufacturer to specialize in O-rings, which is still their primary product. Parco's 154,000 square foot facility is one of the largest O-ring plants in the world.

However, Parco also manufactures custom molded rubber products, including rubber to metal bonded parts, and they import and resell molded rubber seals. Their seals are available in 340 different compounds, more than 25 percent of which were introduced in the last five years. Parco develops their own rubber compounds, mix their own rubber, and make their parts in computer-controlled molding presses. Their manufacturing capabilities include compression molding, transfer molding, and injection molding.

The quality systems at Parco are certified to international standard ISO 9002 and aerospace standards AS 7115 and AS 9000. Their management system is certified to automotive standard QS 9000 and their laboratory is certified to international standard ISO 17025.

Products supplied by Parco are used in a wide variety of industries and applications, including: motor vehicles, oil field machinery, aerospace and defense products, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, farm and construction equipment, fuel-dispensing equipment, and water filtration equipment.

Parco's Full Line of NSF 61 Seals for Drinking Water Systems

Suppliers of drinking water systems know that access to markets throughout the world requires that their products be certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 61. NSF 61 sets limits for the amount of chemicals permitted to leach into drinking water from the materials used in water transmission and distribution. For over ten years, Parco has been providing seals that meet this standard. They offer peroxide-cured compounds in four hardnesses, specially formulated to resist chloramines and certified to NSF 61. Those compounds also meet the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements for food handling applications.

Parco seals made from its internally lubricated peroxide-cured ethylene propylene (EPDM) compounds are tailored to the unique needs of water filtration equipment. Parco's 5778 compounds are available in four hardnesses from 50 to 90 Shore A durometer and provide features such as excellent resistance to chloraminated water, enhanced resistance to compression set, and improved resistance to damage during installation.

Parco's 4081-90 Nitrile Seals

Parco is one of a few manufacturers approved to supply QPL rubber seals for aerospace and defense applications. Their 4081-90 nitrile compound has QPL approval from the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base under Aerospace Material Speciifcation AMS-P-5510. The compound is tailored to the unique needs of the aerospace and defense industry.

Parco's 4081-90 compound provides superior performance at low temperatures and outstanding resistance to compression set. This results in improved performance and safety for aircraft or equipment at high temperatures and in cold environments.

Nitrile compounds perform well in gasoline, crude oil, power-steering fluid, hexane, toluene, water, water-based hydraulic fluids, and dilute bases, such as sodium hydroxide.

The enhanced properties of Parco's 4081-90 compound make it ideal for applications that require a material that resists low temperatures and higher pressures. 4081-90 is recommended for straight-thread, tube-fitting boss seals for use in hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
